Section Two: Assembly and Disassembly of Gearbox 

 
 
Unfix the gearbox from the clutch body if the internal components of A15 gearbox need 
maintenance.  
Caution: the gearbox output shaft can only be repaired as a whole but shall not be 
disassembled, or the gearbox will be damaged.  
I. Disassembling and checking the gearbox 
(1) Place the gearbox onto the bracket.  
(2) Unfix the clutch release lever and bearing. Move the release bearing forward to 
dismantle it and hold the release lever with both hands to dismantle it from the clutch.  
Caution: do not dismantle with a screwdriver or a pry bar as it will possibly damage 
the release lever.  
(3) Toss and dismantle the release lever. 
(4) Screw off the bolts in the clutch body (Figure 18).

(5) Insert two screw drivers into where there is a positioning pin in the clutch joint 
(Figure 19) and split the clutch body from the middle (Figure 20)

(6) Unfix the clutch body’s upper cover from the gearbox (Figure 21).

(7) Unfix the output shaft roller bearing from the output shaft. 
(8) Unfix the differential assembly (Figure 22)

(10) Dismantle the reverse idle wheel shaft (Figure 24) 
(11) Dismantle the reverse idle wheel and gasket (Figure 25).

(12) Screw off the two set screws of the reverse shifting fork bracket (Figure 26) and 
dismantle the reverse shifting fork bracket and reverse cam assembly (Figure 27).

(13) Dismantle the gear lever stop plate with a pair of pliers (Figure 28). 
(14) Pull out the gear lever shaft pin from the gear position lockup assembly trough and 
turn the gear lever to take it out (Figure 29).
