1. Cut harness clip (A) and disengage side air bag harness connector (B), harness clip (C).

2. Remove lifter lever.
a. Disengage lifter lever cap fixing pawls, and then remove lifter

lever cap.

b. Remove lifter lever fixing screws (A), and then remove lifter

lever.

3. Remove seat cushion finisher fixing screws (A), and then

remove seat cushion finisher.

FRONT SEAT

4. Remove reclining device cover fixing screw (A), and then

remove reclining device cover while disengage reclining device

cover fixing pawls.

5. Remove seatback assembly fixing screws (A), and then remove

seatback assembly.

NOTE:

• Disengage reclining knob fixing pawl, and then remove reclining

knob.

ASSEMBLY

Note the following items, and then assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Without RECARO seat model

CAUTION:

• For hog ring that is removed or crimped unsuccessfully, fix it by using a new hog ring. (Never reuse

hog ring.)

• Always install the hog rings in position.

With RECARO seat model

CAUTION:

• When installing seatback assembly, temporary tighten all

seatback assembly fixing bolts, and then tighten fixing bolts

according to the numerical order 1

SEAT CUSHION : Disassembly and Assembly

DISASSEMBLY

Without RECARO seat model

CAUTION:

For models with heater seat, always replace heater seat as a seat cushion assembly without disas-

sembling trim and pad.

1. Remove seat cushion outer finisher.

1. Disengage pawls and remove lifter lever knob cap (1).

(Driver seat only)

2. Remove fixing screws and remove lifter lever knob (2).

(Driver seat only)

3. Disengage pawl using a screwdriver while pulling reclining

lever knob. Slide reclining lever knob toward seat front and

remove it.

4. Pull seat cushion outer finisher toward seat front. Disengage pawls and metal clips. Slide seat cush-

ion outer finisher toward seat front. Remove seat cushion outer finisher.

2. Remove harness installed in the lower portion of seat cushion.

FRONT SEAT

1. Disconnect seat cushion heater unit harness connectors (A)

and (B). (with heater seat only)

2. Remove seat cushion heater unit harness connector fixing

clip and harness fixing clamps (C). (with heater seat only)

3. Remove seat belt buckle harness connector fixing clip (D)

and harness fixing clamps (E).

3. Remove seat cushion inner finisher.

1. Remove harness fixing clamp of seat belt buckle installed on seat frame & adjuster assembly.

2. Remove seat belt buckle mounting anchor bolt, and then remove seat belt buckle from seat frame

&adjuster assembly.

3. Pull seat cushion inner finisher forward. Disengage pawls

and metal clips.

4. Remove seat cushion retainer from seat frame & adjuster assembly. Remove seat cushion trim and seat

cushion pad.

5. Remove hog rings, and separate the seat cushion trim and seat cushion pad. (without heater seat only)

CAUTION:

Before performing separating operation, check the installation position of hog rings.

6. Remove seat cushion silencer from seat frame & adjuster assembly.
7. Remove seatback trim and seatback pad from seat frame & adjuster assembly.

Refer to 

SE-21, "SEATBACK : Disassembly and Assembly"

.

8. Remove reclining device cover.

• Remove fixing screw, and then remove reclining device outer cover (front and rear).

• Remove fixing screw, and then remove reclining device inner cover (front and rear).

9. Remove following parts from seat frame & adjuster assembly.

• Remove reclining spring.

• Remove fixing screws. Pull outer lower cover toward seat outer. Disengage metal clips. Remove outer

lower cover. (driver seat only)

• Remove fixing screws, and then remove inner lower cover. (driver seat only)

• Remove occupant detection system control unit. Refer to 

SR-32, "Removal and Installation"

.

With RECARO seat model

1. Disengage harness clips (A).

2. Remove seat cushion fixing bolts (A), and then remove seat

cushion.

CAUTION:

As the bolt length differs (the ones on the front are longer),

always confirm the matching between the bolt and the

mounting hole.

3. Remove occupant sensor harness (passenger side only).
a. Cut cable tie (A) and disengage harness clips (B).

b. Remove bracket fixing screws (A), and then remove bracket.

c. Disconnect harness connector, and then remove occupant sensor harness.
4. Remove seat belt buckle. Refer to 

SB-9, "SEAT BELT BUCKLE : Removal and Installation"

.

ASSEMBLY

Without RECARO seat model

Note the following items, and then assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

CAUTION:

• For hog ring that is removed or crimped unsuccessfully, fix it by using a new hog ring. (Never reuse

FRONT SEAT

• When installing seat cushion finisher, always slide seat cush-

ion outer finisher toward seat rear, engage portion (A) of seat

frame & adjuster assembly and portion (B) of seat cushion

outer finisher, and then install pawls and metal clips of seat

cushion outer finisher.

With RECARO seat model

Note the following items, and then assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

CAUTION:

• Install in the occupant sensor harness fixing clip and cable tie as shown in the figure.

• Install in the as with before removal to prevent cable discon-

nection.
