LIFTING SWITCH (REAR)

LIFTING SWITCH (REAR)

Description

INFOID:0000000005249692

Lifting switch (rear) is equipped to the power seat switch on the seat cushion side surface. The operation sig-
nal is inputted to the driver seat control unit when the lifting switch (rear) is operated.

1.

CHECK FUNCTION

1.

Turn ignition switch ON.

2.

Select “LIFT RR SW-UP”, “LIFT RR SW-DN” in “Data monitor” mode with CONSULT-III. 

3.

Check lifting switch (rear) signal under the following conditions.

Is the indication normal?

YES

>> INSPECTION END

NO

>> Perform diagnosis procedure. Refer to 

ADP-68, "Diagnosis Procedure"

.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.

CHECK LIFTING SWITCH (REAR) SIGNAL

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect power seat switch connector.

3.

Turn ignition switch ON.

4.

Check voltage between power seat switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> GO TO 2.

2.

CHECK LIFTING SWITCH (REAR) CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect driver seat control unit connector.

3.

Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and power seat switch harness con-
nector.

4.

Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and ground.

YES

>> Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to 

ADP-215, "Removal and Installation"

.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

3.

CHECK LIFTING SWITCH (REAR)

Refer to 

ADP-69, "Component Inspection"

.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4.

NO

>> Replace power seat switch. Refer to 

ADP-218, "Removal and Installation"

.

4.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to 

GI-36, "Intermittent Incident"

.

>> INSPECTION END

Turn ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect power seat switch connector.

3.

Check continuity between power seat switch terminals.

ADP-218, "Removal and Installation"

TILT SWITCH

TILT SWITCH

Description

Tilt switch is equipped to the steering column. The operation signal is inputted to the automatic drive positioner
control unit when the tilt switch is operated.

Component Function Check

1.

CHECK FUNCTION

1.

Turn ignition switch ON.

2.

Select “TILT SW-UP”, “TILT SW-DOWN” in “Data monitor” mode with CONSULT-III. 

3.

Check tilt switch signal under the following conditions.

Is the indication normal?

YES

>> INSPECTION END

NO

>> Perform diagnosis procedure. Refer to 

ADP-70, "Diagnosis Procedure"

.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.

CHECK TILT SWITCH SIGNAL

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect tilt & telescopic switch connector.

3.

Turn ignition switch ON.

4.

Check voltage between tilt & telescopic switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> GO TO 2.

2.

CHECK TILT SWITCH CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit connector.

3.

Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and tilt & telescopic
switch harness connector.

4.

Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.
