TRAILING ARM 

Removal & Installation 

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and make sure it is securely supported.  

2. Remove the rear wheels.  

3. Remove the parking brake cable bracket (A) from the trailing arm (B). See Fig. 33 .

4. Remove the mounting bolts (C), then remove the trailing arm.  

5. Install the trailing arm in the reverse order of removal, and note the following items: 

z

Tighten all mounting hardware to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .  

z

Before installing the wheel, clean the mating surfaces on the brake disc/drum and the inside of the 
wheel.  

z

Check the rear wheel alignment. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT under ADJUSTMENTS & 
INSPECTION.

LEADING ARM 

Removal & Installation 

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported. Remove the rear wheels.  

2. Remove the leading arm mounting bolts (A), and remove the leading arm (B) from the vehicle. See Fig.

3. Install the trailing arm in the reverse order of removal, and note the following items: 

z

Tighten all mounting hardware to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .  

z

Before installing the wheel, clean the mating surfaces on the brake disc/drum and the inside of the 
wheel.  

z

Set the rear wheel alignment. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT under ADJUSTMENTS & 
INSPECTION.

LOWER ARM 

Removal & Installation 

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.  

2. Remove the rear wheels.  

3. Remove the lower arm mounting bolts (A) and self-locking nut (B), and remove the lower arm (C) from 

the knuckle side. See Fig. 35 .
