IGNITION TIMING 

Check ignition timing in no-load condition (headlights, blower fan, rear defogger and A/C off) with M/T in 
Neutral or A/T in Neutral or Park. Connect scan tool to 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC) before checking 
timing. Ensure idle speed and ignition timing are set to 6-10° BTDC (Red mark). See IDLE SPEED 
SPECIFICATION table. For timing mark identification, refer to illustration. See Fig. 4 .
