Install the core in the reverse order of removal, and note these items. z If you're installing a new evaporator core, add refrigerant oil (KEIHIN SP-10) (see A/C z Replace the O-rings with new ones at each fitting, and apply a thin coat of refrigerant oil before z Immediately after using the oil, reinstall the cap on the container, and seal it to avoid moisture z Do not spill the refrigerant oil on the vehicle; it may damage the paint; if the refrigerant oil contacts z Make sure that there is no air leakage. z Charge the system (see SYSTEM CHARGING ). Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons. 2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. 3. Disconnect the suction and receiver lines from the evaporator core (see EVAPORATOR CORE REPLACEMENT ) 4. From under the hood, open the cable clamp (A), then disconnect the heater valve cable (B) from the heater valve arm (C). Turn the heater valve arm to the fully opened position as shown.
