IN-CAR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

1. Remove the driver's inner dashboard trim (see DRIVER'S DASHBOARD LOWER COVER 

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).  

2. Remove the self-tapping screw and the in-car temperature sensor (A) from the driver's inner dashboard 

trim (B).

3. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal. Be sure to connect the air hose securely.  

OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR TEST 

Dip the sensor in ice water, and measure the resistance. Then pour warm water on the sensor, and check for a 
change in resistance. Compare the resistance reading between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals of the outside air 
temperature sensor with the specifications shown in the graph; the resistance should be within the 
specifications.
