9. Install the panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: 

z

Replace any damaged clips.  

z

Make sure the connector is plugged in properly and the cable is connected securely.  

z

Make sure the window and power door lock operate properly.  

REAR DOOR OUTER HANDLE REPLACEMENT 

1. Remove these items: 

a. Door panel (see REAR DOOR PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )  

b. Plastic cover, as necessary (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX )  

2. Raise the glass fully.  

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

3. Disconnect the outer handle rod (A) from the latch (B).

4. Remove the screws securing the latch (A), then lower it.

5. Remove the child lock cap (A) and bolt, then remove the protector (B).

6. Remove the bolt, then remove the spacer (A).
