5. Install the opener in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Make sure the opener cable is connected properly.

Make sure the trunk lid and fuel fill door open properly and locks securely.

TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH REPLACEMENT

1. Remove these items:

a. Trunk lid trim (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TRUNK LID )

b. Rear license trim (see REAR LICENSE TRIM REPLACEMENT )

2. Remove the bolts and disconnect the connector (A), then remove the trunk lid switch (B).

NOTE:

Take care not to scratch the hatch.

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

3. Install the switch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.

Make sure the trunk lid opens properly.

TRUNK LID LATCH REPLACEMENT

1. Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (A) and trunk lid latch switch connector (B). Take care not to bend

the opener cable.

2. Remove the bolts from the trunk lid latch (C), then remove the latch.

3. Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items.

Make sure the connector is plugged in properly and the opener cable is connected properly.

Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely.
