Diagnostic item Explanation Repair order Recheck SRS at each replacement. ASSIST PRE-TEN- I The circuit for the front RH pre-tensioner is open or shorted to 1. Visually check the wiring har- ness connections. 2. Replace the harness if it has visible damage. 3. Replace the front RH seat belt. 4. Replace the diagnosis sensor unit. 5. Replace the related harness. ASSIST PRE-TEN- I The circuit for the front RH pre-tensioner is shorted to ground. CONTROL UNIT I Low battery voltage (Less than 9V) I Go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCE- I Diagnosis sensor unit is malfunctioning. 1. Visually check wiring harness connections. 2. Replace the harness if it has visible damage. 3. Replace diagnosis sensor unit. 4. Replae the related harness. * Follow the procedures in numerical order when repairing malfunctioning parts. Confirm whether malfunction is eliminated using the air bag or seat belt warning lamp or CONSULT-II each time repair is finished. If malfunction is still observed, pro- * CONSULT-II can only show one seat belt pre-tensioner malfunction as self-diagnosis result at a time. Check self-diagnosis result with CONSULT-II whether other malfunctions are detected after repairing one seat belt pre-tensioner malfunction.
