Preliminary Check

The system operation is canceled by turning ignition switch to “ACC” at any step between START and ARMED
in the following flow chart.
NOTE:
Before performing PRELIMINARY CHECK, disconnect IVCS unit connectors not to operate INFINITI commu-
nicator.

After performing preliminary check, go to symptom chart.

1 – 1 CHECK DOOR SWITCH 

1. 

CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

 With CONSULT-II

Check door switch (“DOOR SW”) in “DATA MONITOR” mode with CONSULT

−

II.

 Without CONSULT-II

Check all door switches in Switch monitor mode.
Refer to Remote keyless entry system, 

BL-79, "SWITCH MONITOR"

.

OK or NG

OK

>> Door switch is OK.

NG

>> GO TO 2.

2. 

CHECK DOOR SWITCH

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect door switch connector.

3.

Check continuity between following terminals and ground.

OK or NG

OK

>> Check the following. Repair or replace following item, 

when there is a malfunction.

●

Door switch ground condition (front door) or door
switch ground circuit (rear door)

●

Harness for open or short between door switch and
BCM

>> Replace door switch.

When door is open

: DOOR SW ON

When door is closed

: DOOR SW OFF
