Side Bed Panel Removal/Installation

NOTE:

• Put on gloves to protect your hands.
• Take care not to scratch the bed panels and body.
• The left side is shown; the right side is similar.

1. Remove these items:

• Bed rail trim (see page 20-159)
• Rear roof trim (see page 20-175)
• Front upper tie-down hooks, both sides (see step

1 on page 20-161)

• Front bed panel (see page 20-161)
• Cargo area front light (see page 22-180)
• C-pillar outer trim (see page 20-160)

2. Using a TORX T50 bit, remove the bolts, then

remove the rear tie-down hook (A) from rear end of
the side bed panel (B).

3. Open the tailgate in the drop-down mode.

4. Using a TORX T40 bit, remove the bolts. Lift the

side bed panel (A) up, and disconnect the cargo
area rear light connector (B), then remove the panel.
Take care not to scratch the body.

5. If necessary, remove the bolt, then remove the tie-

down bracket (A) from the body.

6. Install the panel in the reverse order of removal,

and make sure the cargo area rear light connector
is plugged in properly.

NOTE:

• Put on gloves to protect your hands.
• Take care not to scratch the bed panels and body.
• Have some assistants help you when removing and

installing the bed floor.

1. Remove these items:

• Bed rail trim, both sides (see page 20-159)
• Rear roof trim (see page 20-175)
• Front bed panel (see page 20-161)
• C-pillar outer trim, both sides (see page 20-160)
• Side bed panel, both sides (see page 20-162)

2. Open the in-bed trunk lid. Remove the spare tire

tray bolts (A), then pull out the spare tire tray (B).

3. Remove the jack and tool box (A). Remove the

anchor bolt (B), then remove the anchor bolt
adapter (C), spare tire (D), and spare tire tray (E).

4. From under the body, remove the bolts, then

remove the silencer baffle plate (A).

5. Using a TORX T50 bit, remove the bolts, then

remove the front lower tie-down hooks (A) from
both sides of the bed floor (B).

6. From the rear right side of the bed floor, detach the

in-bed trunk lid subharness connector (A), and
disconnect it. Detach the harness clip (B).

7. Remove the plug caps (A) and bolts from the bed

floor (B).

8. Open the in-bed trunk lid (A), then remove the bolts.

9. Using the hoist (A), and the rope with the hooks (B),

attach them to the holes (C) in the bed floor (D) as
shown.

10. Having some assistants help you, lift the bed floor

up, and remove it in the sequence shown. Take
care not scratch the body.

11. Install the bed floor in the reverse order of removal,

and make sure the in-bed trunk lid subharness
connector is plugged in properly.

1. Remove the front bed panel (see page 20-161).

2. Detach the hooks (A), then remove the rear air

outlet (B). Take care not to scratch the body.

3. Install the air outlet by pushing on the hook

portions until the hooks snap into place.

4. Reinstall the front bed panel.
