General warnings for gateway control module

WARNING

Sudden voltage interruption of the power supply to the control module.

Destruction of the control module.

→ During programming, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the Porsche System tester. It is

essential to connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least 40 A to the vehicle battery.

→ Prior to disconnecting the control module, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

The gateway control module is located under the radiator tank, accessible from inside the vehicle near to the
driver.

1. -A- Pull gateway control unit downwards on the plug side (unclip)

2. -B- Pull gateway control unit to the left out of the

holder.

3. Release electric connector -A- and pull from the gateway control unit.

1. Push on electric plug until it is felt to engage on gateway control module.

2. Push in gateway control module into the holder -A- and clip in -A- .
