Unscrewing fastening nuts

2. Loosen the two fastening nuts -1- , release electric plug connection -2- and unplug from control unit.

3. Remove motor together with drive to the rear out the bracket.

4. Release both locking hooks and pull the relay carrier up and out of the retaining frame.

Engaging and screwing down relay carrier

1. Engage relay carrier on retaining bracket and screw down with the two fastening screws -1- . →

Tightening torque: 4.5 (3.5 ftlb.) Nm

2. Place retaining brackets on the body and screw down with the four fastening screws -4- and the

fastening nut -5- . → Tightening torque: 2.2 (1.5 ftlb.) Nm → Tightening torque: 4.5 (3.5 ftlb.)

Engaging relay carrier

1. Push and engage the relay carrier into its retaining

frame.

Tightening fastening nuts

2. Push motor for convertible top compartment lid together with potentiometer onto the bracket and screw

tight with the fastening nuts -1- . → Tightening torque: 10 (7.5 ftlb.) Nm

Plugging in electrical plug connections

3. Plug in the electric plug connection for potentiometer -2- at control unit until the connector is felt to

engage.

4. Plug in the electric plug connection for microswitch -5- and engage on the

bracket.

Subsequent work for relay carrier of cabriolet

1. Reinstall carpet over motor.

2. Move convertible top from service position. → 6101IN IN - convertible top service position

Gefahr des Verlusts der Text-Bild-Zuordnung beim Ausdruck.

Aus technischen Gründen kann derzeit nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass trotz

Zusammenhang von Text und zugehörigem Bild verloren geht.

Wird der Fehler nicht bemerkt, besteht die Gefahr, daß Arbeiten nicht korrekt
durchgeführt werden und es dadurch zu Personen- und Sachschäden kommt.

→ Vergleichen Sie deshalb nach dem Druckvorgang unbedingt die Ausdrucke mit der
Bildschirmdarstellung. Korrigieren Sie die Ausdrucke im Fehlerfall so, daß der Inhalt der
Bildschirmdarstellung zutreffend wiedergegeben wird.

Danger of losing text-figure correspondence when printing out.

For technical reasons, it can currently not be ruled out that the correspondence
between text and associated figure can be lost when it is printed out, even though
the display on the screen is correct.

If the fault is not noticed, there is the danger that work will not be performed
correctly which can cause injury and damage.

• 

→ Therefore, always compare printouts with the screen display after printing them out. Correct
the printouts if they are faulty so that the content of the screen display matches that on the
printouts.
