Install location

WARNING

Risk of damage to electronic control modules.

If care is not taken, electrical and electronic components may be destroyed.

• 

→ Before removing the control module, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

Bracket for the vehicle electrical system control unit

1. Pull apart the locking tabs -A- for the vehicle electrical system control unit, pull the control unit forward

and down with connectors still attached then pull it out of its holder at the rear.

Release connector A and disconnect.

2. Release both electrical connectors -A- and unplug them.

3. Take out the control unit.

Inserting the connectors

1. Press electrical plugs into control unit and lock them -arrow- so they are felt to engage.

Push the electrical system wiring into its retaining bracket so that it engages.

2. Push vehicle electrical system control unit upwards into the holder. It must engage properly. Make sure

the electrical leads are not pinched.

Attach relay carrier 1. → 978319 Removing and installing relay carrier 1 - "installing"
